    Speak Up!

    Event organizers are often the key to car-free travel options. Your first step should be to
    ask them what public transit options they recommend.

    • Is there is a specific train or bus that other attendees will be on? It's nice to make friends. :)

    • Some festivals are awarding prizes or otherwise encouraging green travel options -- doesn't hurt to ask!
    • If they've sited the event where you need a car, ask them if they are organizing carpools, and encourage them to choose a different location next year!

  2. Your Choices [USA]

    • Google Maps "get directions" has been regularly their public transit options, or search 'public transit' and the state or city you're going to.
    • The American Public Transportation Association has a list of transit options by state.
    • New bus companies keep popping up (leave us a comment if you like one), or greyhound,
    • Amtrak.
    • If you do drive, carpool! Try Craig's List or see if Spaceshare is going to your event.
