"I am only one, But still I am one. I cannot do everything, But still I can do something; And because I cannot do everything I will not refuse to do the something that I can do." - Helen Keller

Event organizers are often the key to car-free travel options. Your first step should be to
ask them what public transit options they recommend.
- Is there is a specific train or bus that other attendees will be on? It's nice to make friends. :)
- Some athletic events are awarding prizes or otherwise encouraging green travel options -- doesn't hurt to ask!
- If they've sited the event where you need a car, ask them if they are organizing carpools, and encourage them to choose a different location next year!
- Some events provide buses -- BUT with a well organized carpool effort, it's often harder to get people out of their cars than to offer a ride, so adding a bus won't necessarily remove a driver, just a carpooler.
